There in the 74-th issue of “The Focus” (The Herald of the International Institute of Asiatic researches in Leiden) newspaper «Kazak adebiety” was published the article of Z.Auezova named “The Time of Ordeal”: a story of the 1916 revolt in Central Asia, dedicated to the short novel “The hard year” of Mukhtar Auezov and the centenary of the 1916 revolt. There in the article of the literary expert Zifa Auezova were considered the works of Mukhtar Auezov, who exerted great efforts for the studying of the Karkara revolt and the events of 1916 in Central Asia on the whole. His work “The summer lightnings” is dedicated to the carrying out of the mobilization for the rear works and the revolt in the Eastern-Kazakhstani region native for him. The revolt in Karkara known also as the Alban revolt was described in the work of Mukhtar Auezov “The hard year”. The writer also studied the participation in the revolts of the Kirghizes, spending much time at Issyk-Kul.
